Summit Welcomes New Team Members!

There’s been a lot happening at Summit the last few months and several new faces have joined the team! Here’s some info to help you get to know them a little better :)

Larkin Stensrude recently joined Summit’s Charter Sales & Operations team. An avid frozen Snickers fan, Larkin’s favorite part of the job is working on very interesting and unique charters that range from flying celebrities on ski trips, to taking a newborn baby to meet the grandparents for the first time (or even delivering a client's favorite ice cream to his surprise birthday party). Although, the opportunity to jump on a random empty leg on occasion is pretty cool, too! His go-to karaoke song is anything from Guns & Roses and he likes spending his free time golfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, skateboarding, and spending time with his Dad. Larkin is always striving to better himself and those around him through kindness, humor and teamwork and believes that everyday is a moment to be a better you and if you surround yourself with like-minded people, then there are no bad days.

Timothy Shankland joins Summit as a Charter Captain on the Phenom 300. A skilled whistler, Tim’s go-to karaoke choice is Patience by Guns & Roses where he can show off his talents crushing the whistling part. His favorite part of flying charter is the diversity that it offers. New airports and an ever-evolving schedule while out on the road keeps things exciting. He also likes the interaction with passengers, which is much more personable than flying for an airline. Tim admits to being a lover of Reese’s Pieces candies- especially in ice cream- and likes to hike, camp, fish, waterski and snow ski in his spare time, as well as mountain bike and occasionally fly prop planes. Fun fact about Tim- he writes, throws a ball and fishes left-handed, but does everything else right-handed.

Jon Thompson joins the Charter team as a Captain on the Phenom 300, where he’ll get to continue enjoying his favorite aspects of his job- going to different places, the people he gets to fly and the people he gets to fly with. In his free time Jon enjoys playing basketball or golf, or spending time with his family, with whom he would one day love to travel the country in an RV. While willing to reveal his love for Peanut M&M’s, Jon would not divulge his karaoke favorite, for fear he would be asked to give a performance.

Patrick Sinnott has been with Summit for 4 ½ years, but recently received a promotion to Charter Sales & Flight Logistics Manager. His favorite part about his job has been to work collectively as a team to surpass the expectations of our clients (and booking trips, of course!). Pat has a weakness for candy of any kind and karaoke’s to Heartbreaker by Mariah Carey and Jay-Z. He met his fiancé, Kelley, at Summit and likes to spend his free time skiing, golfing, mountain biking, camping and spending time with friends and family.

Tim Hynes joins Summit as a Phenom 300 Captain for the Charter Department. His favorite part about working in charter is flying into random places and running into friends at the FBO, hotel, etc. Tim’s go-to candy is gummy bears, except when he’s at the movie theater- then it’s Twizzlers all the way. Claiming not to karaoke, he prefers to spend his free time road or mountain biking, fishing, surfing, spending time/having some good laughs with friends and family, and is always up for an adventure to find some good coffee.

Rob Farina comes to Summit as a Charter Captain on the Phenom 300. The things he loves most about his job are: being able to accommodate passengers with face-to-face customer service and satisfying almost any request within reason, going to smaller remote places that most airlines do not travel to, and being able to adapt to constant changes (which keeps it interesting). With charter there’s never a dull moment. A fan of Gobstoppers and Bob Marley, Rob enjoys meeting and sharing stories with people. He’s been to all 50 states in the US and 63 countries around the world. In his free time, Rob enjoys traveling or being out on the boat cruising, fishing, diving and wakeboarding with family and friends.

Don Hughes joins Summit’s Maintenance team as a Quality Assurance Auditor. He prefers the old nostalgic candies like Smarties, Laffy Taffy, Chick-o-Sticks, and Bit-o-Honey and claims his singing can scare a grizzly bear away. Don likes to use his years of experience in aviation maintenance to help others and spends his free time hunting, fishing, backpacking and discovering new waterfalls for the book he’s writing on Montana’s waterfalls.
