Summit Aviation is proud to announce that our very own Chief Instructor, Missy Harlow, has been recognized as a Distinguished Flight Instructor for her high standard of flight instruction by the AOPA.
The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) is a nonprofit organization that represents and advocates for general aviation pilots and aircraft owners in the United States. The organization's mission is to promote and protect the interests of general aviation, including private and corporate pilots, aircraft owners, and aviation enthusiasts, and is highly respected across the aviation industry.
Congratulations to Missy Harlow on receiving this well-deserved honor! This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to her exceptional skills and dedication to her students and the aviation industry. Summit Aviation is privileged to have such a talented and accomplished Chief Instructor on our team. Harlow's achievement is also a reflection of Summit Aviation's commitment to providing high-quality flight training and instruction.
“I have so many amazing people around me, and I am very lucky for that. A great joy of mine is watching people grow in their aviation careers and their personal lives. You don’t do flight instruction for the money. You do it for the students,” Missy said.
“We’ve been very fortunate to have Missy as our Chief Instructor,” says Owner and President Ben Walton. “She’s done an amazing job in that role, not only with the students, but with her whole team of instructors as well. It’s a big job and we’re very excited to see her recognized on the national stage once again for her talent and hard work.”
