As the Aircraft Sales Team Manager, you will play a key role in all aspects of the aircraft sales and acquisitions processes. You will be responsible for departmental success in achieving revenue objectives, actively prospecting new clients and opportunities, as well as networking and building relationships within the industry. This role will successfully seek out additional revenue opportunities and promote all aspects of the company and its services including aircraft management, charter operations and flight instruction. Negotiations include, but are not limited to brokerage agreements, acquisitions agreements, lease agreements and OEM sales support.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Successfully negotiate aircraft sales/acquisitions and related services through final closing with integrity, honesty and professionalism
  • Continual prospecting and networking through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, email, direct mail, showings/demonstrations, special events and various other methods
  • Positively representing and promoting Summit Aviation at every opportunity
  • Setting personal and departmental goals, as well as developing and implementing plans to achieve those goals
  • Keep members of the sales team productive, on track and accountable to sales plan and goals
  • Continual professional improvement through current and projected industry trends, market research, technological improvements, overall industry education and awareness, etc.
  • Networking with current and prospective customers, FBO’s, professional organizations, various industry leaders, aircraft manufacturers, etc.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with other departments whenever necessary by effective planning and communication
  • Assist customers when necessary in solving service problems
  • Communicate with President regularly to approve aircraft pricing, deals and other negotiations
  • Entertain and educate customers
  • Network with aviation industry leaders, other industry professionals and community leaders
  • Coordinate ferry flights and personnel schedules when necessary
  • Regularly review personal and departmental processes to achieve continuous improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3-5 years previous aircraft sales experience
  • Entrepreneurial and business savvy
  • Highly self-motivated self-starter
  • A proven, successful aircraft sales track record
  • Sales training experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize needs
  • Four year college degree or equivalent experience
